The ISA Symposium is coming up Saturday, December 3rd from 10-noon.  The event will feature a series of short talks from current ISA students! Great opportunity to hear about undergraduate research & tour a few research labs! Open to the public, live & on Zoom.

Congratulations to our Science Alliance interns, IBA scholars, and students in the UI-MARC and UI-LSAMP programs for their poster presentations at FURF 2022.

Our two graduate ghouls had some great activities for Halloween. We viewed pumpkin cells and worms under microscopes, had an opportunity for dissection and a petting zoo with some very chill Hissing Cockroaches on loan from the entomology lab!

This is an opportunity to introduce meet experienced researchers in STEM fields on campus, such as Biology, Health & Human Physiology, Psychology, Chemistry, and more! Introduce yourself and learn more about topics such as: getting started in research, developing hands-on laboratory skills, and communicating research to the public. Enjoy refreshments and a chance to mingle, while satisfying your curiosity about scientific research!

Several ISA students presented at the recent SURF 2022 festival.​​​​​​​ ICRU's Spring Undergraduate Research Festival (SURF) is held in celebration and recognition of undergraduate researchers' contributions to research, scholarly, and creative work at the University of Iowa.

We had so many amazing undergrad researchers this year we had to add a second Symposium in the Spring!!! Eight of our IBA students presented their research to a live and virtual audience.
