The UI-MARC (Maximizing Access to Research Careers) Fellowship program, funded by the NIH, is dedicated to supporting the academic and personal success of junior and senior University of Iowa students who are committed to pursuing a PhD or combined M.D./Ph.D. program after graduation.

Five faculty fellows have been selected by the Office of the Provost for fiscal year 2025 to work toward executing the strategic plan.

25 ISA students participated in the 2024 summer program.

Twenty-one ISA students presented twenty posters at the 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC). ISA ran a poster competition with competitive judging. Five students placed as winners - Lily Shaefer (1st), Lee Flores (2nd), Natalie Kehrli (3rd), and Bhoomika Shettigar and Adriana Castellano tied for an Honorable Mention (4th). Congrats to all who presented!
