The selection process to become a UI-LSAMP Research Intern is described below:

• Qualified students who are interested in scientific research can submit a free application to become a UI-LSAMP Research Intern.
• The student is then interviewed by the UI LSAMP selection committee. This committee may include ISA program directors, staff, and a faculty member from the student’s area of research.
• Selected students will start the process of searching for a mentor and lab (if not matched already) to conduct research.
• Selected students are invited to register for a Student Development Seminar (1 s.h.). Seminar section is dependent on student's entry point into the program and should be determined with program staff.
