Congratulations to to Seren Castellano and Quinn Eldridge for placing in the 2024 LSAMP Conference; Seren second for best oral presentation, and Quinn third for best poster!

The two winners shared their insights on attending and participating in the conference. For Seren, the best part of attending the 2024 LSAMP Conference at Iowa State was "being able to connect with not just individuals from other colleges, but also with my own peers from the University of Iowa." Quinn recalls that "the best part of attending the conference was the opportunity to meet new people. It was inspiring to hear the experiences of other students, and learning about different career paths from alumni and faculty was really eye opening for me."

Congratulations to ISA Career Counselor and Graduate Research Assistant Jahnavi Pandya for earning an "Excellence in Mentoring" award at the conference!

Other ISA students who attended the conference were Eddie Sandoval, Waad Abdella, and Jacques Bugumba. Jacques stated that "the best part of attending the conference was the exposure to networking with other students who are seriously passionate and share the same career goals. I also love attending workshops; I learned quite a lot from attending these workshops, honing my career goals and expanding my expectancy of how advanced STEM is."
