By the time UI-MARC trainees graduate, they are strong candidates for top graduate programs in biomedical and/or behavioral fields. Those admitted to the UI-MARC Program receive:

• annual stipend of $14,340 (paid monthly)
• up to 60% tuition and fees covered
• Up to 15 hours/week mentored research during academic year and up to full time during the summer
• travel funding for professional meetings and conferences
• financial support for external Summer Research Experience 
• preparation for a Ph.D. education through hands-on research experience, seminars and conferences
• career counseling
• an insider's familiarity with the UI's highly ranked Ph.D. and M.D./PhD dual degree programs
