Kamilla Jacobo is a sophomore with a Psychology major on the Pre-Medicine track, with a minor in Latinx studies. She is expected to graduate in May 2026. Kamilla conducts research at the Iowa Neuroscience Institute in the Williams Lab. Her research focuses on studying the 16p11.2 micro-duplication and its impact on purkinje cell density. She is interested in being a Latham Fellow because she enjoys teaching and wants to encourage the younger generation to pursue a career in science.
