Sam Eliasen is a fourth-year student pursuing his bachelor's degrees in Neuroscience and Biochemistry with a certificate in Clinical and Translational Science. Sam has been an undergraduate researcher at the Stevens Lab in the Department of Psychiatry at Carver College of Medicine since 2021, where he studies the developing brain and how influences in early fetal life can increase risk for neurodevelopmental disorders. After undergrad, Sam will work as an intramural research training fellow at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences while he applies to medical school. In his free time, you can find Sam swinging in a purple hammock at City Park, or enjoying a walk along the river.
