Biography

Emmeline is a senior majoring in Environmental Science and Geography, minoring in Biology and Geoscience, and earning a certificate in Sustainability. She is conducting research in the Dannenberg Lab, studying the physiological impact that bur oak blight, a fungal infection, has on the photosynthetic capacity of bur oak trees. In the future, Emmeline wants to help conserve ecosystems, and the plants and animals within them, as climate change progresses. As a Latham fellow, she hopes to organize projects that engage community members in the natural sciences.
