My name is Emma Treco and I am a 4th year Microbiology major expecting to graduate in May 2023. I currently do research in cancer biology, investigating the impact of decreased TRAF3 levels. After graduation, I hope to enter an MD/PhD program and eventually work as a physician-scientist while also doing some teaching. I am interested in the Latham Fellows Program because as a scientist, I feel that scientific information is inaccessible to the public and to scientists of other disciplines, and I want to change that.
