The Iowa Sciences Academy is looking forward to recruiting new students interested in research and science communication for the 2026 – 2027 academic year. ISA will again be offering paid research internships for sophomores, juniors, and seniors as part of the Science Alliance program.

Additionally, ISA is recruiting students to be Latham Fellows. Latham Fellows take a series of two courses. LATH:3000 is designed to build skills in science communication, and in LATH:3001, students build on these skills to design and implement a science communication outreach project. In addition to the class, Fellows will attend professional development activities sponsored by ISA. Upon completion of the fellowship program requirements, students receive a $1,000 fellowship award.

See below for more information about each program!
