What does the program look like?
Fellows complete two required courses (2 s.h. each):
Fall Semester – LATH:3000: Science Communication Skill Building
You’ll focus on communicating scientific ideas clearly, learning how to plan outreach activities, and developing strategic plans for individual and group projects.
Meets in person, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30–10:20 a.m.
Spring Semester – LATH:3001: Latham Fellows: Science Outreach Project
You’ll put your plans into action by implementing outreach projects, learning from guest speakers who work in science communication, and sharing your work during a year‑end showcase.
Meets in person Tuesdays for lectures; Thursdays are work days but students will check in for 30 minutes every other week (same time)
